Pigmentation treatment with PRP came into use when it was noticed that skin rejuvenation with PRP lightened pigmentation and brightened the skin. Adding PRP to pigmentation treatments makes the results better and longer-lasting. Pigmentation treatment with PRP is carried out in at least 3 sessions at intervals of 2-4 weeks, together with laser treatments. If the pigmentation is deep and long-standing, maintenance sessions should be carried out every 3-4 months.
2 or 3 tubes (8-20 cc) of blood are taken from the person to be treated, and the platelets are separated in a centrifuge. The separated platelets become concentrated in the tube, producing a serum called PRP. The aim is to rejuvenate the skin with the patient's own serum, containing entirely their own platelets and growth factors.
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is one of the most natural ways to rejuvenate. Thanks to PRP treatment, skin worn down by many factors such as sunlight, smoking, pregnancy, a stressful life and an unbalanced diet regains the structures it has lost. It can be used on a wide variety of body areas, and because it is a treatment using the patient's own blood, it is a completely natural, practical treatment method that stimulates repair mechanisms. On its own it is not enough to eliminate pigmentation, but it increases collagen and improves skin quality, so that better results are obtained from lightening treatments.
