Radiofrequency has been used in medicine for many years, and in its classic form it has also long been used in skin care and cosmetology. However, advancing technology has helped this method evolve considerably, and by adding new features to the classic radiofrequency method, it has emerged as a highly effective treatment. The first of these new features is making radiofrequency fractional. The difference with this technique is that the energy does not penetrate the skin as a single block, but through many small points side by side. Because healthy tissue is left in between, damage is kept to a minimum.
In this way, second-generation radiofrequency devices, "fractional radiofrequency" devices, took their place on the market. Another new feature added after this stage is the third-generation radiofrequency device, which delivers the energy current into the skin through microneedles.
The current-delivering unit of the radiofrequency device equipped with microneedles bypasses the epidermis, the top layer of the skin, and reaches the middle layer called the dermis. The needles used range in length from 0.5 to 3.0 mm. Because the needles used are made of gold, this method is also known as the "gold needle", and much better results are obtained with much less damage.
The names Fractional Radiofrequency, Fractional Microneedle Radiofrequency, Gold Needle, Microneedle Fractional Radiofrequency and Microneedle Radiofrequency are also used for this treatment. They all refer to the same treatment.
THE ENDYMED GOLD NEEDLE FRACTIONAL RADIOFREQUENCY SYSTEM IS APPROVED BY THE US FDA.
Based on ablation and skin resurfacing 1–3 mm beneath the skin, it renews the skin by increasing collagen synthesis. It reshapes the facial oval and is very effective in correcting a sagging double chin and sagging along the jawline.
It has a total of 5 handpieces used on the body and face:

Body Tightening

How is fractional radiofrequency (Gold Needle) performed?
Thanks to technological advances, fractional radiofrequency (Gold Needle) treatment is more comfortable with new, advanced devices. Of course, anaesthetic creams are also used before the Gold Needle treatment to minimise the sensation of pain. One of the most important advantages of the treatment is that it can be done in any season. When Endymed Gold Needle Radiofrequency is applied to the face, the procedure takes about 30 minutes on average.
To improve skin quality and reduce wrinkles, it is applied in 2 sessions 1 month apart. More sessions may be needed for acne scars or other scars. There may be some redness after the procedure and sometimes mild crusting, but the redness lasts only 1–2 days. You can return to your daily life using a suitable concealer to cover the redness. It takes a few weeks to see the effect of this procedure, and the maximum effect is seen 3–4 weeks after the last session. After the treatment is complete, regular use of moisturiser and sunscreen should not be neglected.
When should Gold Needle Radiofrequency not be used?
It should not be applied in the presence of active infection in the treatment area, in pregnancy, during a herpes (cold sore) outbreak, or in people with a pacemaker, cancer patients or epilepsy patients.
